HVOF coating is mostly used to deposit wear and corrosion-resistant coatings on materials like ceramic and metallic layers. Molten or semi-molten materials are sprayed onto the surface by means of the high temperature and high-velocity gas steam so that it produces a dense spray coating that can be of a high surface finish.
